The Art of Placement
Growing up, Nancy Feldman said she lived in a wacky, wonderful home with her two creative parents -although she didn't realize how creative they were at the time. Her father, a dentist by day, bought and restored old cars in his off hours. As a young woman her mother was a vocalist and pianist with big bands and was always very creative. "It was fun to grow up like that," she said.

The Creation of a Delray Country-French Home With a Contemporary Accent
When decorating a home, for designers, the key to client satisfaction is to reflect the homeowner's personality as it was in the case of the Hall residence at Mizner Country Club, Delray. Decorator Nancy Feldman envisioned a sophisticated whimsical look, while the homeowner's palette was soft and glowing. Combining the two looks was indeed a challenge. But there was an even bigger challenge: How do you take a cookie cutter country club floor plan and turn it into YOUR home? It's all about setting the stage. Scale, furniture placement and the backdrops you're working with matter when you truly want to create something that stands apart from all of the other homes on the street.
